How to choose a static eliminator?

1, the effect of power dissipation

2. The safety of the eliminator includes two factors.


First, the safety of fire and explosion prevention. The second is whether there is safety damage to the surrounding equipment and operators.


3. The condition of the charged body is also a factor that should be considered when choosing the eliminator.


For plates, films, fabrics, paper and other surface charged objects, as long as the consumption capacity to meet the requirements, you can choose DC and industrial frequency consumer; for suspended or piled up charged objects, i.e., space or volume charged objects, you should choose the ionization fan or gas source ion rods and wind mouth consumer; when the charged polarity of a certain amount of charged or charged, charged with a large amount of moving speed, you should choose the DC high-voltage consumable; installation distance should not be too large, 5cm is appropriate. Too large, 5cm is appropriate. If allowed to residual part of the electrostatic charge, should choose the gas source AC ion bar or DC high voltage ion bar; for the choice of gas source AC ion bar or DC high voltage ion bar; electric body, such as the space location allows, can choose the ion fan or high-frequency AC power eliminator. Its working mode is DC or pulsed DC.


Installation position of static electricity eliminator


It is very important to install the eliminator properly. Improper installation will not only reduce the effect of dissipation, but also exacerbate the charge, and even cause greater harm. Therefore, how to correctly set the position of the eliminator according to the site conditions and measurement analysis.

Generally speaking, the de-energizer should be installed at the highest potential of the charged body as far as possible. Figure 3 attached is an example of a location for setting up an electrical dissipator so that the electrical dissipation efficiency is highest (e.g. 90% or more) at the location where the electrical dissipator is installed. In principle, the following locations or sites should be avoided in the installation location and environment of the de-energizer:


The location of the static electricity source (as shown in Figure 3 A); the back of the object has a grounding body (as shown in Figure 3 B), or adjacent grounding (as shown in Figure 3) C), or other dissipative appliances (as shown in Figure 3) D) these locations; easy to contaminate the dissipative appliances or 50 degrees Celsius temperature ℃ relative humidity in the environment of more than 70%.


The mounting angle of the eliminator should be perpendicular to the surface of the energized body. In addition, the dissipator should be fixed on a firm support or fixed mechanical equipment, and require reliable grounding (such as the design of grounding components). In the actual process site or important equipment, electrostatic charged body varies greatly. According to the above principles, carrying static electricity detection table, combined with the actual situation on the site, to determine the optimal installation distance of the eliminator and the flow rate of the gas source, reasonable installation of the eliminator.


Static electricity eliminator installation requirements


1 、General Provisions


On-site power supply wiring should be correct, safe and reliable, electrical equipment grounding wire should be well grounded (public grounding resistance of less than 1 ohm). The compressed air circuit should be clean and dry without dust, oil and water.


2, mandatory provisions


Explosion-proof static eliminator has special safety conditions, in the construction, installation and use of the process should strictly comply with the product explosion-proof certificates, product specifications and relevant national standards for electrical equipment in explosive environments.


3、 Installation should follow the principle


Static eliminator should be installed in the area of anti-static requirements. Installation of static eliminator, should follow the technical requirements for the use of products, equipment, electrical grounding is good. According to the requirements of the product specification to ensure that the electrostatic eliminator discharge electrode and the surrounding metal parts to maintain a certain safety distance. The surface of the electrostatic eliminator shall not be covered. The installation interval of the static eliminator should be determined according to the setup requirements of the anti-static area on site and the recommendations in the product manual to determine the best installation interval or consult the product supplier. The air inlet of the ionized fan static eliminator should be kept at the necessary distance from the surrounding obstacles, please refer to the product manual or consult the product supplier. There should be no obstacles between the installation location of the Static Eliminator and the object to be de-energized.


4. After the installation of the static eliminator is completed, the static eliminator should be on standby or shut down, and start up after debugging, trial operation and official use.
