1, dust removal efficiency


In the design of dust removal engineering generally use the full efficiency as an assessment index, sometimes also expressed in graded efficiency.


(1) Full efficiency The full efficiency is the percentage of the amount of dust removed by the dust collector and the amount of dust entering the dust collector. The following formula:


η = G2 ÷ G1 × 100%


Where η--------- efficiency of the dust collector, %;


G1--------- amount of dust entering the dust collector, g/s;


G2--------- amount of dust removed by the dust collector, g/s;


Because the dust amount can not be measured directly in the field. Should first measure the dust concentration in the dust collector import and export airflow and the corresponding air volume, and then calculated using the following formula:


Where Q1--------- dust collector inlet air volume, m3/s;


C1--------- inlet concentration of dust collector, mg/m3;


Q2--------- dust collector outlet air volume, m3/s;


C2--------- dust collector outlet concentration, mg/m3.


(2) Total efficiency


In the dust removal system if there are dust removal efficiency of η1, η2...... respectively .ηn when several dust collectors are operated in series. The total efficiency of the dust removal system is expressed by η, calculated according to the following formula

(3) Penetration rate The penetration rate ρ is the percentage of the dust discharged at the outlet of the remover and the dust fed in at the inlet, and is calculated according to the following formula:


(4) Grading efficiency The grading efficiency n is the dust removal efficiency of the dust collector for dust within a certain particle size d or particle size range △ d, as shown in the following formula


2、Pressure loss


Pressure loss of dust collector is the difference between the absolute value of full pressure of the inlet and outlet of the dust collector, which indicates the mechanical energy consumed by the gas flowing through the dust collector, and it can be calculated by the following formula when we know the value of ξ of the local resistance coefficient of the dust collector. In the field can be measured directly by the pressure gauge.

3、Processing gas volume


Indicates the size of the dust collector processing gas capacity, generally expressed in volume flow rate (m3/h or m3/s), but also expressed in mass flow rate (kg/h or kg/s).


4、Load adaptability


Load adaptability of good dust collector, when the amount of gas treated or pollutant concentration fluctuations in a wide range, can still maintain a stable dust removal efficiency, moderate pressure loss and high enough operating efficiency.
